AHL-Level RFAs Heading To Unrestricted Free Agency 2022
As Monday's 5 p.m. ET deadline passed for NHL teams to tender their impending restricted free agents (RFA) a qualifying offer to retain their rights, the results of a flat salary cap combined with a 50-contract max limit saw many players not receive a qualifying offer.
As such, they'll be heading to free agency Wednesday as unrestricted free agents (UFA) free to sign with any team.
