Colorado Avalanche Among Those Scouting Saturday's Phantoms Game
Lehigh Valley PhantomsALLENTOWN, Pa. - On a night where most of the Philadelphia Flyers brain trust were on hand, the Colorado Avalanche were among three teams with scouts present at the Flyers' AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley Phantoms (PHI) game against the Utica Comets (NJD) Saturday night.
Interestingly enough, the Avalanche had one of their scouts on hand -- with the Avalanche linked to the Flyers in recent rumors surrounding a potential Claude Giroux trade. Giroux himself told media earlier this week he had yet to speak with GM Chuck Fletcher about waiving his no-movement clause to facilitate a trade in advance of the NHL's trading deadline next month.
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Vegas Golden Knights also had scouts in attendance at the PPL Center.
