Injury Updates Bigras, Bunnaman, Criscuolo, Ratcliffe, Rubtsov, Twarynski 11/21/19
Lehigh Valley PhantomsALLENTOWN, Pa. -- After Wednesday night's win over Charlotte, Lehigh Valley Phantoms head coach Scott Gordon mentioned that getting scoring support from non-traditional goal scorers wasn't just an option, but a necessity given all the injuries hitting the team in recent weeks.
"We need everybody now with the amount of injuries that we've had," Gordon said after Wednesday's game.
Gordon also provided some insights on timetables for some of the injured players, as follows.
"We got two guys that probably won't be back for anywhere from a week to three weeks, maybe four weeks," Gordon said, referencing Bunnaman as one of the two longer term injured players.
Gordon added that they're hopeful forward Carsen Twarynski will be ready to play in the team's next game.
Potentially concerning is the fact that Gordon said there was no timetable for Chris Bigras' return to game action. Bigras took a big hit in the second game in Charlotte at the end of October, and although he later returned a week later for a mid-week November 6th game against W-B/Scranton he hasn't played since - missing his sixth straight game Wednesday.
Gordon also said that German Rubtsov, who left early in the 2nd period, didn't have a timetable yet.
