Penguins/Phantoms, Checkers/Wolf Pack Set To Battle In Atlantic Division's Opening Round

The Atlantic Division's matchups for the opening round of the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs (best-of-three) are now set following Saturday's games.

The Hershey Bears and Providence Bruins finished in first and second place, respectively, and will avoid the opening-round best-of-three series.

With their 2-0 win over Lehigh Valley Saturday, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins secured third place in the division and will host the Phantoms in the first round beginning with Game 1 Wednesday night, April 24 in Wilkes-Barre at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

The Charlotte Checkers will finish in fourth place, setting up a first round matchup with the fifth-place finishing Hartford Wolf Pack in a best-of-three series that will be played entirely at the Bojangles Coliseum beginning with Thursday, April 25's Game 1.
