
Plenty Of High-End Prospects On AHL Rosters to Begin 2024-25 Season
There are six former top-10 overall picks in the American Hockey League (AHL) to start the season: Rockford D Kevin Korchinski, (7th in 2022) Grand Rapids forwards Marco Kasper (8th in 2022) and Nate Danielson (9th in 2023), Bakersfield forward Matthew Savoie (9th in 2022), Springfield forward Dalibor Dvorsky (10th in 2023) and Belleville forward Tyler Boucher (10th in 2021).
2024-1st round selection Konsta Helenius of the Rochester Americans is the youngest player in the AHL to begin 2024-25 at just 18 years old.
In all, there are 85 players drafted in the first or second round from 2020-2024 that are beginning the season in the AHL this season, with 41 of those players being former first round selections.
