Hello readers!

My name is Tracey Lake, and I am the newest member of the Inside AHL Hockey team.  I will be covering the North Division and on occasion the Interstate 91 section (Springfield and Hartford) of the Atlantic Division.

I currently reside in Albany, New York, and I am more or less a free agent as far as a team goes for the 2017-18 season, with the Albany Devils relocating to Binghamton. I covered the A-Devils for the full 7 seasons they played in the Capital Region, first starting out live Tweeting games in October 2010, then in January 2011 I launched Thoughts Inside The Box, a one stop shop for news, game updates, and photos.

With the Devils moving west following the 2016-17 season, I was at a crossroads as to what I wanted to do next.  Living within a 2 to 3 hour radius of at least 8 different AHL teams, I couldn’t decide where I wanted to go, so I decided on a variety.  Since July, I have been writing on my blog about the New York AHL teams, and also the ECHL’s Adirondack Thunder, who play less than an hour away in Glens Falls.

I chose to join Inside AHL Hockey because…well, the AHL is really all I know.  I have been following this league since 1995, and I have seen so many players come through that have or are now established NHLers.  I also will be able to travel to different cities and see the future develop.  It also gives me the chance to branch out and expand my audience, and even learn more about the league from my fellow writers.

I am looking forward to sharing my travels with you this season!
